This blog is a project loosely complementary to the academic research group “Science Fiction and the Bible“, which was started in 2012. The purpose of the research group is to consider biblical literature informed by Science Fiction theory, literature, film, anything. And, no, we are not claiming that Ezekiel was abducted by an alien spacecraft. The research group aims to explore the Bible as an estranged artefact in contemporary society. It is not aligned with any faith group or denomination, in fact, it is rather secular in its outlook.

The blog wants to move somewhat beyond that specific focus and explore science fiction, new technologies, – their utopian and dystopian potentials – and the role religion and belief play in the ways we think about the future.
